Its worth trying too see for yourself especially if you are upgrading for security patches, but my preference is still sierra. Its basically dark mode (badly implemented) and ios apps on mac (a joke). Mojave is not exciting, i was expecting at least something to bring a smile after all the press and apple fan joy explosions but its exactly the same as any macos, and the fonts are not as smooth on retina displays as they've removed subpixel antialiasing (if you don't care this is probably a feature because everything is a little snappier). High sierra im running now on one mbp (after trying mojave) and i still prefer sierra. It took for forever to upgrade from el capitan to sierra, and didn't regret it. Now imagine if they scale that up to intel TDP.Ĭompletely subjective reply because of specific circumstances.
They are actually pretty fast now (A10x is pretty fast against intel i5) remember that A10X comes with GPU while is passively cooled vs intel having to be under the heatsink not even using its igpu fully ( it goes to 100 at full igpu usage) (They might use this as a low power co-processor where low power/always on process run on arm and heavy stuff runs on intel) The end goal of this transition is possibly the ability to run macOS on ARM (at least partially) because of Apple’s own chip being on their timetable and tailored to their demand.
